Circle Jerks Documentary on the Way (video)

Acclaimed punk rock director Dave Markey (The Slog Movie, Reality 86'd, 1991: The Year Punk Broke) has taken on the epic task of bringing to light the story of the raddest band of our lifetime, the Circle Jerks. The documentary, titled My Career as a Jerk, was produced for BlankTv and will also be released in DVD format.

According to the DVD's distributor Aggronautix' website "My Career as a Jerk follows the band from their early days and classic debut to navigating the independent label and touring scene of the 80s to the addictions, fights and injuries that forced their break up." and "Features interviews with members Keith Morris, Greg Hetson, Lucky Leher. Earl Liberty, Zander Schloss as well as J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), Henry Rollins (Black Flag), Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Bad Religion), and more."

The DVD is slated for a September 25th release date and you can pre-order it here.

The Adicts to Release New Album, Post Teaser Track

Believe it or not, the Adicts have been at this punk thing for over 35 years now. To put that into perspective, that's a good ten years longer than the Bouncing Souls! And like the Bouncing Souls, the Adicts are still quite active with touring the world and now, releasing a new album. Their latest, All the Young Droogs, is slated to hit music stores on September 11th. Those who pre-order the album at http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/theadicts are privy to the usual bonuses like getting the album earlier than the public and exclusive updates as well as the not so usual "signed CD’s, VIP Passes, In-Store Meet-and-Greets so you can come hang out with the band. We’ll even come and play at YOUR house."  Not quite sold yet? How'z about a sample track to whet your whistle prior to purchase? You can check out the track Horrorshow streaming here at Noisecreep.com. But don't take our word for it; here's Monkey to reiterate:
